Well the cast list was posted for Anne of Green Gables on Friday. I was cast as Anne. Why am I not happy? I have the LEAD for goodness sake. It's just that I can see that the fall play is not going to be fun at all. Everyone is refering to it as "Anne of Green Fuckles," Ali and Laura weren't cast, Al Stephen is Matthew, Jason is Gilbert, people are talking about quitting...I know, I know, poor me, I got cast as the lead while most of my other friends got small parts...but still. It isn't fair and it isn't going to be fun.

In other news...I visited Wesleyan college in Conn. this weekend. Oh my gosh, it is the perfect college...I want to go there sooooo badly, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather go. But it is such a hard college to get into! Even my mom was like "you definitely aren't going to get in early decision, they will defer you and who knows if you will get in at all." Ahhhh...

I'm sorry that I am being so whiney but I am having a total stress out right now...

CMU Pre-College is over.

I can't even describe what the Pre-college has been for me. The last 6 weeks have just been...I don't even know. Just living on my own, with a bunch of other people my age and learning how to take care of myself while forming these amazing relationships with people...it is just undescribable. I am so glad that I was blessed with the experience. The people I have met...my roommates Amie and Amelia...Drew and Megan...Sanyu...Kevin. My Augusto Boal group. Everyone. You all have touched my heart. Thank you.

Yessss...come Sunday morning I am leaving for 6 sweet weeks of CMU Pre college. June 26th to August 8th. I'll be staying in a dorm on the Carnegie Mellon campus, so please call me about hanging out. I will have my cell phone so use that number. If you don't know it, leave a comment and I'll email it to you. Yeah i'm paranoid. I'm taking 2 classes, Intro to Creative Writing and Politics through Film. I'll get college credit for them which is pretty awesome. Creative Writing meets every day from 1:30 to 2:50 and Politics through Film is on Mon and Wed in the evening. So i guess i'm gonna have a ton of free time. All the more reason to call me! » Chicago and PGSA

I visited Northwestern this weekend, to see my dear Katemonster and get a taste of college life and it was fun indeed. Undertones + 3 shows + debaucherous cast party + shopping + tiny dorm room + taxi cab hijinks = Awesome weekend with Kathleen. We had a really great time, i love having an older sister. :) Also, i can't wait to go to college. I want to go now.

In other news, I got a call back/interview thing for Governor's School for Creative Arts; Creative Writing to be more specific. Poetry to be more more specific. I'm really excited, but my hopes aren't too high, i would love to go more than anything, but i just don't think i'm quite good enough. We shall see. I still have to go to the interview and whatnot. One of the questions on the questionnare they sent home asks "what books/magazines have you read this year?" Ummm yeah, like i would know. I read 2-3 books a week during school, and 5-10 books a week during the summer. If you know me, you'd know that I'm not even joking. So do they want me to list all of those books? I can't remember them all! whatever, i'll just list the prestigious sounding ones.

Sooooo Madwoman is over. The night of the show, I got stuck behind a humongous car crash for an hour and was a half an hour late to the show. They held it,but i was so frazzled from everything, i kinda sucked. and forgot my lines. oh well. NOW, we are doing "Pittsville" an original show by Mr. JR Hall also known as "Rocket in my Pocket." I am Miss Miggins. Not a bad part, but it is basically the same character as the Madwoman of C. and having to use the same character twice in a row will kind of suck. Oh well, i'm being a brat about it anyway, it is a good part. In other news...nothing really. I watched some movies at Jesse's house w/ mike and sami and that was fun. Except when Jesse's puppy licked the super hot spicy salsa, which was probably not too fun for the dog. We watched Anchorman and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which is now officially one of my favorite movies. In other other news...damnnnnnnn nothing guy-wise going on with me, yo quiero un muchacho! or a hook up. lol. just being honest, folks.

Happy Chanukah everyone!

Ali's birthday party was on Saturday, which was really really fun. I got to see awesome people that i hadn't seen in a long time, like Sara and Cory and Lizzie and the Macbeth kids. A good time overall.

In other news...

Metails.com is no more, it is now "yub.com" (buy backwards, subliminal messaging, anyone?) Yet another thing that started out as a cool idea but succumbed to commercialism.

Tawnya is pregnant! Whoa...JR and Tawnya with kids...i think they will make good parents though.

Thanksgiving was good, mainly because i got to see Sean and Kathleen, its amazing how much you don't realize that you miss people until you see them again.

I don't think that *****(a certain person of the male gender whose name i am not writing because i am a paranoid freak, considering they will never read this journal) likes me anymore, which is good because he is an awesome person and i want to be friends. Grrr why is it that us women always like the jerks and not the nice guys?

oh my gosh, i have sooooooooooooooooooo much work to do this weekend!! I told myself that i would not go out this weekend so i could do the millions of hours of homework that i saved, but that obviously didn't happen. I went over to Ali's house tonight and we had a really good time. I love just hanging out at someone's house with no plan...just doing what ever you think of. Sara Tamler and Mara and Laura Schneider were there too, and we played Boggle for the most part. Well, THEY played Boggle but my ADD attention span was only good for about one game, so i surfed the internet and loudly sang off key to Ali's iPod while they played. Sometimes i don't know how my friends can stand being around me for more than a couple minutes,they must be really patient people, i know that i would be so annoyed by someone like me. This probably explains why my friends are for the most part nicer than i am. Then Laura and Mara left and Ali and Sara had to leave to go, ahem, **somewhere** i mean, Sara's house! I couldn't go because i have act one tommorrow morning, so they left and i am stuck at ali's house with her mom for 45 minutes, just the two of us. She told me about how when she was my age, she would go to these make-out parties and then she and her friends would rate all the guys they made out with. Do normal people do this all the time? Am missing out on a big part of my teenager-hood? Seriously, invite me the next time someone has a make out party!! Hmmmmm...new thought. I have act one tomorrow and i have NO idea what to do for audition class. I literally know two songs b/c i don't have voice lessons and so i have two songs (Turn Back o Man and Funny Honey) from when i did have voice lessons. I sang Funny Honey EVERY time last year and Turn back o man every time from 7th to 9th grade. So i don't know! Lol, i'm also in the dancetard (dance retarded) group in dance class. Lol. Everyone is doing this hott Indian-esque gyrating dance thing to Shakalaka Baby and there i am doing lindies and poda bourres to One Short Day. Oh, but we got our parts for the Madwoman of Chaillot and i am the Madwoman of Chaillot in the first act! (Rachel Pf. is her in the second act) So i am excited about that. Ahhh i have to go do my english essay AND study for spanish midterm AND do bio project AND study for APUSH test AND practice Madwoman lines AND go to sleep. Bye bye!
